A SATEC-ABB Joint Development:
cost-effective MV metering
In cooperation with ABB, SATEC presents a new model of the PM174/5 Power Quality Analyzers, modified for interfacing ABB’s KEVA/KECA/KEVCY/KEVCD medium voltage sensors.
These unique sensors feature built-in current and voltage sensing, fitted with a RJ45 3VAC output, originally designated for interfacing digital protection relays.
SATEC’s concept is utilizing this output for highly accurate power metering and power quality monitoring of the network.
Adopting these protection-oriented sensors for power metering also saves considerably on the need for constructing costly metering cubicles, housing the standard MV PT.
